**As of August 25, 2025 bids not accepted, project will re advertise but no exact date.** The Project includes the following Work: The proposed project will include providing a new 210-ft tall, nominal 519,000-gallon composite elevated water tank on at the Schuyler Business Park, in Drive-In Road in the town of Schuyler, NY. The elevated tank will be filled by the 100+/- PSI site water distribution system located along Kenneth Drive and will provide water storage and pressure to provide a source of firefighting water for the entire planned business park. The project will include the delegated design and construction of an elevated tank, all earthwork and driven pile foundation. Also included in the project is a new electrical service and components, installation of 8" Ductile Iron water pipe, a valve vault, and valves including shutoff valves, and an altitude valve. Bids are requested for the following Contract: Provide Composite Elevated Water Tank. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid in the form of a bid bond or certified check, made payable to the Herkimer County IDA. The site is located adjacent to Kenneth DodgeDrive, approximately 1,200-feet from its intersection with Diamond Drive, in Schuyler, Herkimer County, New York. The two possible locations, which are approximately 100-feet apart, are grass covered. Based on information provided by Delta Engineers, Architects, Land Surveyors, and Landscape Architects, D.P.C., the proposed water tank will be an approximately 500,000-gallon Aquastore Composite Elevated Tank with a height of approximately 145 feet, a pedestal diameter of 24 feet, and a tank diameter of 31 feet. Total vertical load is approximately 6,000 kips. Whitestone's geotechnical borings encountered up to eight feet of granular existing fill over a 12-inch layer of former topsoil over a lacustrine deposit consisting of consisting of brown to gray, very loose to loose sandy silt to very soft to soft silty clay. The lacustrine deposit extended to depths of up to 117 feet below ground surface. Below the lacustrine deposit is dense glacial till. The lacustrine deposit is not suitable for foundation support. As such, Whitestone recommended a deep foundation consisting of driven H-piles extending into the denser glacial till be designed to support the water tank. Whitestone was requested to provide pile criteria to assist with foundation design. This contract will provide an elevated composite water tank to be installed on property located within the Schuyler Business Park at Drive-In Road in Schuyler, NY. This project will include constructing an access road to the tank site, constructing a pile supported composite elevated water storage tank, concrete riser, and a 519,000-gallon Aquastore(TM) tank on an elevated platform or approved equal endorsed by the Mohawk Valley Water Authority. Also included are 8" Ductile Iron Pipe tank feed and supply lines, an altitude valve and vault, gate valves and fittings near Kenneth DodgeDrive in the Schuyler Business Park.
