Every effort will be made to respond promptly; answers to questions will be given to all participating professionals. For Herkimer College Technology Center Fan Replacement. The scope of work for this project includes the complete removal, replacement, repair of an existing roofmounted (Air Handling Unit) fan assembly. The contractor shall be responsible for the following tasks: 1. Perform a full Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) of the existing fan system to ensure a safe working environment during the removal process. 2. Disconnect all electrical connections from the existing fan. 3. Disconnect the existing fan assembly from its housing. 4. Provide and operate a lull (or equivalent lifting equipment) to rig and hoist the new fan to the roof. This unit is in a penthouse room in existing ductwork. 5. Install the new fan assembly into the existing fan housing. 6. Provide and install a new 5 HP Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) to operate the new fan. 7. Reconnect all necessary electrical wiring and components to restore full functionality. 8. Connect to Siemens BMS 9. Properly dispose of the removed fan assembly in accordance with local codes and environmental regulations. 10. Remove all Lockout/Tagout devices upon successful and safe completion of the installation. All work shall be performed in compliance with applicable OSHA safety standards, electrical codes, and manufacturer specifications.
