Demolition, site work, paving, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Suffield, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the addition of a residential development; for the demolition of a residential development; for the renovation of a residential development; for site work for a residential development; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The requirements of this project for residence at 1606 Mapleton Ave requires, at a minimum The rebuilding of the main doorway into a handicap accessible entrance that may include an ADA compliant ramp ADA compliant ramp, The creation of a handicap accessible parking area near the main entrance. The remodeling of an existing powder room into a handicap accessible, unisex, public bathroom, Bringing all utilities; electric, plumbing and HVAC to meet current codes and safety standards for public assembly in the 21st century The installation of a display system for hanging artwork and pictures on the first floor, The installation of classroom & ceiling lighting Approximately 25 trees, and stumps are to be removed, as well as, limbs from an additional dozen trees, Overgrown and dead bushes and shrubbery are to be removed and replaced Removal of existing swimming pool with the creation of a concrete patio in the exterior area of the house, Installation of a white wooden fence, (400FT in length), compatible with existing white, wooden fencing around the front and southem side of this property, The removal of an existing dog house and dog run, to be replace with patio and grass Preparation of all surfaces, both the exterior and interior and finish painting, Outside lighting to be installed for safety; illumination of parking area and handicap parking area, Landscaping; replacement and grading of soils and planting of grass. Repair and/or replacement of driveway asphalt, Repair and painting of the existing free standing 3- car garage The furnishing and installation of an approved internet connections and a security alarm system The furnishing and installation of approved permanent signage identifying the property, matching all other permanent signage. The building of a small, single floor, outside storage shed for the storage of historic farm tools and implements. (30X40 Feet, plans to be provided by FOFAH). A satisfactory Bid Bond or Certified Check, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid, shall be submitted with each bid. The Bid Bond shall be made payable to the FOFAH and shall be properly executed by the Bidder. A 100% Performance, Labor and Material Bond is also required. All sureties must be listed on the most recent IRS circular 570. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities or to accept the bid deemed in the best interest of the project. Question Deadline 08/04/2025 Deadline for firms to submit written questions about the ITB. Project Start Date Sept 8, 2025 The awarded firm begins the project.
