Renovation of a library in Nappanee, Indiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 20,600-square-foot library.
The Project consists of selective demolition and interior renovation of the existing library. The renovation affects approximately 20,600 square feet and includes flooring, painting, and cabinetry throughout; interior metal stud and gypsum board partition walls; acoustical ceilings; remodeling of restrooms; and selective replacement of lighting and HVAC systems. An Alternate for site improvements includes removal and replacement of landscape, selective concrete sidewalk removal and replacement, and parking lot lighting. The Owner will receive sealed lump sum bids until the bid time and date at the location given below. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. 1.3 BID SECURITY Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of five (5) percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening of bids. Insurance in a form acceptable to the Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. An out-of-state contractor will be obligated to show proof that they are registered with the Indiana Secretary of State to conduct business in the State of Indiana. Bid proposals shall be properly and completely executed on the Bid Form provided. Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by an executed non-discrimination commitment (as included in the Supplementary Bid Form) and the State Board of Accounts Form 96, as required by the statutes of Indiana.
