Project Description: Snohomish County is located on Puget Sound, between Skagit County to the north and King County (and Seattle) to the south. Covering 2,090 square miles, Snohomish County is the 13th largest county in total land area in Washington. In 1972, Snohomish County established the Solid Waste Division (Division). Title 7, Health and Sanitation, of the Snohomish County Code, including Chapter 7.04 Sanitary Code, governs solid waste management within unincorporated Snohomish County. Scope and Nature of the project: Snohomish County requests proposals from qualified firms or individuals to receive, transport and dispose of solid waste generated and collected in the County. The County's current contract for solid waste receiving, transport and disposal services expires on January 15, 2028. Estimated start date: January 16, 2028, and end date January 15, 2038.
