The purpose of the Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit sealed proposals to establish a contract through competitive negotiations for the procurement of: 5/7 MVA Power Transformer Supply, Installation, Erection, Testing, Commissioning and Existing Transformer Removal and Disposal The City of Horton, KS owns and operates its own electrical infrastructure that supplies residents of the City of Horton with electricity. Within that infrastructure there is a single 34.5/12.47 kV transformer that feeds the city that is expected to fail in the next 5 years. The City would like to replace it with a new, dependable, and high-quality unit. The manufacturer shall notify The City of the in-tanking schedule with sufficient notice to permit purchasing 14 days advance airline tickets.
