Demolition, site work and asbestos abatement for a hospitality development in Vernal, Utah. Completed plans call for the demolition of a hospitality development; for site work for a hospitality development; and for asbestos abatement for a hospitality development.
The City of Vernal (referred to as "Owner") is seeking proposals from qualified and licensed asbestos abatement contractors to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and disposal necessary to remove and properly dispose of all asbestos-containing materials (ACM) identified in the Asbestos Inspection Report The selected contractor will be responsible for: Review & Confirmation Review the Asbestos Inspection Report (Exhibits A & B) and confirm the locations and materials identified as asbestos-containing. Scope of Abatement Only materials containing greater than 1% asbestos--as defined by EPA and OSHA regulations (40 CFR Part 763 and 29 CFR 1926.1101)--are included in this abatement scope. Materials with <=1% asbestos are not required to be abated and should be left in place or managed per applicable safety guidelines. The intent is to limit abatement to regulated materials to reduce unnecessary costs and avoid disturbing non-regulated materials. This project is being conducted as part of the planned demolition and redevelopment of the property. All work must comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including but not limited to, Utah Department of Environmental Quality (UDEQ), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements.
