The Project is located on Falcon Way in the City of Hercules, between Wren Court and Refugio Valley Road, and is generally described as follows: traffic control, asphalt pavement grinding, asphalt pavement removal, asphalt overlay placement, cape seal application, utility and monument cover adjustments, pavement striping, traffic sign installation, and all other work as shown on the Plans (including any additive alternate work that the City may choose to incorporate into the Project), called for in the Technical Specifications, or as directed by the Engineer. 2.2 Time for Final Completion. The Project must be fully completed within the following number of calendar days from the start date set forth in the Notice to Proceed: Bid Package # of Calendar Days Base Bid (Falcon Way Pavement Rehabilitation) 37 Base Bid plus Additive Alternate #1 (Wren Court Cape Seal) 46 Base Bid plus Additive Alternate #2 (Finch Court Cape Seal) 47 Base Bid plus Additive Alternates #1 and #2 57 City anticipates that the Work will begin on or about November 2025, but the anticipated start date is provided solely for convenience and is neither certain nor binding. 2.3 Estimated Cost. The estimated construction cost is as follows: Base Bid Falcon Way Pavement Rehabilitation: $976,902.00 Additive Alternate #1 Wren Court Cape Seal: $57,544.00 Additive Alternate #2 Finch Court Cape Seal: $75,397.00 3. License and Registration Requirements. 3.1 License. This Project requires a valid California contractor's license for the following classification(s): Class A (General Engineering Contractor) or Class C12 (Earthwork and Paving) Bid Security. The Bid Proposal must be accompanied by bid security of ten percent of the maximum bid amount, in the form of a cashier's or certified check made payable to City, or a bid bond executed by a surety licensed to do business in the State of California on the Bid Bond form included with the Contract Documents. Performance and Payment Bonds. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the Contract Price, as further specified in the Contract Documents. 8.
