Renovation of a museum in Richmond, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a museum.
The Science Museum of Virginia, hereafter referred to as the "Science Museum", is seeking a Contractor to furnish and install brand specific carpet and flooring in the first floor east and west areas as indicated below. No substitutions will be accepted. The general area of the Science Museum to be covered is shown in red ink on the map labeled as Attachment A. The Contractor shall provide all materials, tools and personnel to complete the following project: o Provide and install the materials indicated above in the specified areas on Attachment A. Bidder to verify measurements to determine quantity needed. o Provide and install all transitions. o Remove and dispose of all existing carpet and bases in the designated areas. o Clean areas and make area inspection-ready. o Provide a 5% override as "attic stock" to be stored at the Science Museum. The work should commence as soon as possible upon award. Depending on the availability of the flooring materials, the Contractor should be able to commence work on August 28, 2025 with a preferred completion date of September 9, 2025. Site vist desc : the first floor, supervised. If any changes in the specifications are required as a result of the site visits, an addendum to the Quick Quote will be issued. The State reserves the right to reject any and all bids in whole or in part, to waive any informality, and to delete items prior to making an award. The purchasing agency reserves the right to cancel and terminate any resulting contract, in part or in whole, without penalty, upon 60 days written notice to the contractor. Any contract cancellation notice shall not relieve the contractor of the obligation to deliver and/or perform on all outstanding orders issued prior to the effective date of cancellation.
