The City requires fire alarm testing and inspection services at various City facilities. 1. Test and inspect, as per fire code, ALL components of each fire alarm system. This includes, but is not limited to, main control unit, remote annunciators, batteries, ancillary devices, manual alarm initiating devices, audible and visual signalling devices, and automatic alarm initiating devices. 2. Conduct sensitivity testing for detectors using the true test sensitivity unit. 3. Provide inspection reports (including deficiencies) for each separate facility within one (1) month of completion. 4. Provide a year-end report on conditions and recommendations for repairs to the equipment. The duration of the contract will be from date of award- June 30, 2030. Indicate percentage increase/decrease for the following subsequent years on the Bid Form: A.2.1 Year 2 (July 01, 2026 - June 30, 2027); A.2.2 Year 3 (July 01, 2027 - June 30, 2028); A.2.3 Year 4 (July 01, 2028 - June 30, 2029); and A.2.4 Year 5 (July 01, 2029 - June 30, 2030). Question Deadline 08/14/2025 Administrative inquiries and requests for clarification of the Bid process shall be made to the Procurement Manager in writing at purchasing@brandon.ca and must be received not less than five (5) calendar days prior to the date for closing of Bids. The City reserves the right to reject any or all Quotations, the City in its sole discretion may reject as non- compliant any Quotation which contains omissions, erasures; is ambiguous or unclear as to meaning or intent; is incomplete, illegible, conditional or contains a qualifier; contains any non-requested alterations or additions to the information provided by the City; is obviously unbalanced; or fails to comply sufficiently with the Instructions to Bidders. The City may, in its sole discretion, waive any and all defects, informalities, and accept any Quotation, as compliant, which it considers is in the best interest of the City of Brandon.
