Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be submitted in writing to nasir.chhipa@vdot.virginia.gov no later than 5 business days, prior to the closing date. The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. One year from date of award with four (4), one (1) year renewal options The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, equipment, fuel, and traffic control, to include all equipment and flaggers as required per the most recent version of the Virginia Work Area Protection Manual (VWAPM) and any other incidentals necessary to meet the requirements stated within. The work shall consist of tree pruning, small tree removal and brush removal along with the disposal of all generated debris for the purpose of enhancing safety for the public. Roadway shoulders shall include up to 4 sides (medians) on divided highways. The Contractor shall be capable of commencing work within ten (10) calendar days of award of this IFB. On each succeeding call the Contractor shall begin work within fourteen (14) days of this award and shall work consistently until released from that event, unless a different reporting time is mutually agreed upon. reserves the right to include additional routes as it deems appropriate. The Contractor shall have a minimum of two (2) individuals trained to input lane closures into the LCAMS system. Training shall be completed within thirty (30) calendar days of issuance of Notice to Award. Further information regarding training opportunities may be obtained by contacting (Dwayne.hall@vdot.virginia.gov ). There will be no separate pay item for the training. (The Virginia Department of Transportation herein referred to as VDOT is soliciting bids from interested firms to perform by the shoulder mile tree trimming, small tree removal and brush removal by the shoulder mile in accordance of the performance specifications herein, within the Staunton District including the counties of Alleghany, Bath, Highland and Rockbridge. Invoices shall be submitted biweekly to the address and section listed below. Invoices shall include the contract number, purchase order number, itemized quantities, unit price, and extended costs based on the contract pricing schedule. No payment will be made for work in progress on the prescribed payment dates. The work completed will be verified in writing by a VDOT Representative and Contractor on an agreeable format.
