Renovation of a military facility in Keams Canyon, Arizona. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.

Replacement of 46 combination smoke detectors, including all necessary labor and parts, is required for the Indian Health Service (IHS) - Phoenix Area Office. This procurement is strictly for new equipment; remanufactured or "gray market" items will not be accepted. Vendors must be authorized distributors or resellers of the proposed equipment to ensure OEM warranty and service coverage. Third-party quotes are not permitted. All equipment must be covered by the manufacturer's warranty, and quotes must include verification of authorized distributor status. Location: Hopi Healthcare, HWY 264, MP 388, Polacca, AZ 86042 eams Canyon IHS Housing, 19 Unit Apartments, MP 403 Hwy 264, Keams Canyon, AZ 86034 There is 46 combo smoke/co detectors that have failed and in need replacement in order to meet requirements. These devices serve to ensure our staff life safety while living in the Hopi Health Care Center Living Facilities. REQUIRMENTS: NFPA requires smoke detectors in every sleeping room, outside each sleeping area, and on every level of a home, including basements. Carbon monoxide (CO) detectors should be installed outside each sleeping area and on every level, with some additional requirements for homes with fuel-burning appliances or attached garages. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are crucial safety devices because they alert patients and staff to potentially deadly situations before they become life-threatening. Smoke detectors help detect fires, while carbon monoxide detectors alert to the presence of carbon monoxide, an odorless and colorless gas that can cause poisoning and death. SPECIFIC WORK TO BE PERFORMED/SMOKE DETECTORS a. Troubleshoot, Diagnose, Repair Deficiencies, Test and Recertify b. Parts c. Labor d. Dispose failed devices e. Provide a Service Report TIME FOR COMPLETION: The scope of the work contained herein is to be completed within 30 Days from contract award; preference is sooner than 30 days. GENERAL INFORMATION: The quality of workmanship shall reflect full journeyman level in the trades. The contractor shall be responsible for damage/s to government property during the performance of this contract. The contractor shall comply with all Federal, State, Local Codes, Installation policy and regulations as they apply to this contract. The contractor shall provide all safety equipment needed, and/or required on the job. The contractor shall be responsible for disposing of rubbish, and all other work debris, to an off-station disposal site. The contractor shall take precautions to avoid interfering with vehicles and/or personnel using the facility. Performance of contract work shall be accomplished during normal working hours. Normal working hours are 0730 to 1600, Monday through Friday, except on Government holidays. Any deviations from stated hours must be approved by FACILITIES.
