Reference Number 0000394011 The County of Wayne is requesting bids for the replacement and repair of concrete sidewalks in Ecorse, Michigan. Contract Term The term of the resultant contract shall be for a period of 1 year from the date of award. Wayne County administers a procurement program that gives pricing advantages (equalization credits) to businesses located within Wayne County and to businesses located within the 10 Targeted Growth Communities within Wayne County (Detroit, Ecorse, Hamtramck, Highland Park, Inkster, Melvindale, River Rouge, Romulus, Sumpter Township, and Taylor). The County shall apply equalization credits up to 7% to the price for bids submitted by certified County Based Enterprises (CBE) and 2% for Targeted Growth Community Enterprise (TGCE). In selected areas (see Appendix D and Appendix E), existing concrete will be removed, subgrade will be trenched to the full depth of existing concrete, tree roots will be ground as needed, concrete forms will be staked, and wet concrete will be poured and finished. After the concrete has hardened, side forms will be removed and all disturbed areas will be backfilled with topsoil, compacted, and graded level with the new concrete. Vendors are required to quote and use materials in accordance with the requirements of the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT). In identified areas (see Appendix D and Appendix E), existing concrete will be removed, subgrade will be trenched to the full depth of existing concrete, tree roots will be ground as needed, concrete forms will be staked, and wet concrete will be poured and finished. After the concrete has hardened, side forms will be removed and all disturbed areas will be backfilled with topsoil, compacted, and graded level with the new concrete. The proposed scope of work includes areas on the following streets: Ridge, Knox, Elton, Charlotte, Alexis, Joseph, Eliza, Salliotte, Drenna, Cherrygrove, Josephine, Broadway, Woodward, and Westfield. A few representative photos are included for reference. Proof of ownership is not provided as these improvements will be within City right of way in various locations. None of the locations are on county or state jurisdiction roads.
