Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Indio, California. Working plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and road / highway.
The Arts and Music Line project will provide nearly 9 miles of protected bicycle facilities (Class 1 and 4) along Avenue 48, Van Buren Street, and Dillon Road. The proejct will also construct more than six miles of Class 2 and 3 school spurs that directly connect the project to 11 disadvantaged schools. The project scope includes several innovative safety features including bicycle signals with fully protected bicycle movements, raised and/or recessed bike/pedestrian corssings, and bicycle signal indicators to alert cyclists that they have been detected by the traffic signal. This project is included in the city's 2025 -2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of August 27, 2025, this project is in the final planning phase and is expected to go out to bid in the upcoming months. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
