RFP#369811 - EOL Fire Door Replacement Subcontractor shall perform the following: 1. Perform pre-job briefing with TM/CC to discuss job hazards and ways those hazards will be mitigated / minimized. 2. Mobilize to Wilson Hall. 3. Perform Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) as necessary to safely isolate any electrical components. 4. Safely chain existing rolling fire door in place (inoperable). 5. Ensure proper disposal or recycling of removed components per local regulations. 6. Inspect the mounting area for structural integrity and readiness for new installation. 7. Supply and install a new UL-listed and NFPA 80-compliant motor-operated rolling fire door with equivalent or superior specifications to the existing unit. Approximate door opening 12'-0" W X 12'-9" H. Door specifications are listed in the equipment section below. 8. Ensure the new door meets applicable fire resistance ratings and all Illinois and federal building code requirements. 9. Provide a new motorized operator with appropriate horsepower and voltage compatibility. Specific operator requirements are listed in the equipment section below. 10. Install necessary electrical connections, controls, and safety devices. 11. Ensure proper sealing and alignment of the door for fire protection and operational efficiency. 12. Conduct functional testing of the fire door, including automatic closing mechanisms, manual release, and motor operation. 13. Perform drop tests per NFPA 80 requirements to verify fire door performance. 14. Ensure the safety features, including sensors and emergency operation mechanisms, are functioning correctly. 15. Provide documentation of successful testing and certification. 16. Provide operational training for facility personnel on proper usage and maintenance. 17. Supply manufacturer's documentation, including operation manuals, maintenance requirements, and warranty details. 18. Dispose of all removed equipment and waste in dumpster provided by FFDG or as otherwise directed 19. Ensure any LOTO placed has been removed and all equipment is not functional. 20. Perform close out of job site. a. Ensure all tools, equipment, and waste are removed. b. Perform turnover / closeout of job with TM/CC.
