Pedestrian Safety Improvements at the Holliston Town Hall Crosswalk located in the vicinity of 703 Washington Street in Holliston, MA. The work includes installing curb extensions and a Solar Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon at the intersection of Jasper Hill Road and Washington Street in front of the Holliston Town Hall. The work to be done under this contract consists of furnishing all necessary labor, materials and equipment required for the Pedestrian Safety Improvement Town Hall Crosswalk at Washington Street in Holliston, MA. The project will include other improvements in accordance with the plans and these Special Provisions. and other incidental items included in the contract documents necessary to complete the Project. The Contractor shall coordinate his work with all utility owners and the Town of Holliston. The locations, general characteristics, and principal details are shown on the plans entitled: Town of Holliston, Massachusetts; Pedestrian Safety Improvements; Town Hall Crosswalk at Washington Street. All work under shall be done in conformance with the 2025 Standard Specifications for Highways and Bridges, the Construction Standard Details in effect as of March 12, 2025, the 1990 Standard Drawings for Signs and Supports, the 2015 Overhead Signal Structure and Foundation Standard Drawings, the 2009 Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) with Revisions 1, 2, and 3 and the November 2022 Massachusetts Amendments to the MUTCD, the 1968 Standard Drawings for Traffic Signals and Highway Lighting, the latest edition of The American Standard for Nursery Stock, the Plans and these Special Provisions. References within the Standard Specifications to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation or the Engineer shall for the purposes of this Contract be construed to mean the Town of Holliston or its representative. No survey was performed for this Project. The proposed design is based on Nearmap and field data collection. The Contractor shall be responsible to construct sidewalk and pedestrian curb ramps to meet ADA/AAB standards. The Contractor shall verify existing grades and proposed design before construction to avoid any puddling issues or meeting design standards.
