The City of Richmond, Virginia (the "City"), on behalf of the Department of Public Utilities ("DPU"), seeks bids from qualified firms for general contracting services for the Water Treatment Plant Lagoon Residuals Removal Phase VI project (the "Project"). The required services include the removal of water treatment residuals from the City's Water Treatment Plant Residuals Lagoon (the "Work"). The City's Water Treatment Plant ("WTP") treats an average of approximately 65 million gallons of water per day from the James River, distributing it to residential, commercial, and industrial customers located both in the City and in the surrounding counties. A 4,400-foot-long Residuals Lagoon (the "Lagoon") receives both the filter backwash and the Sedimentation Basin residuals flows. This Project addresses the removal of the water treatment residuals from the Lagoon. A. The Work shall include furnishing and installing all appurtenant and incidental materials and equipment, complete and in-place, fully operational, and in accordance with the Contract Documents. B. The Work shall also include the following: 1. Dredging of the WTP residuals lagoon as indicated on the Plans, 2. Dewatering of removed WTP residuals, 3. Hauling and disposal of dewatered WTP residuals, 4. Dewatering pad curb replacement, 5. Additional gravel along plant access roads, and 6. Vegetative and site maintenance along access roadway and berm. Work to be completed within 730 consecutive calendar days after Notice to Proceed.
