Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Eagle Creek, Oregon. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Demolish and legally dispose of the 88-foot by 9-foot reinforced concrete bridge section, and wood cribbing, as well as install a 40-foot by 15-foot (600 sf) gravel pad at the property entrance for transition from roadway, parking and staging of vehicles. Metro inherited a pre-cast concrete bridge section as part a recent property purchase and has no information about its provenance. It is estimated to be 30+ years old. It does not, nor has it, functioned as a working bridge at its current location. The reinforced concrete bridge section is approximately 88 feet long and 9 feet wide. The beams are approximately four feet deep and inches wide. The deck slab itself tapers slightly and is an average of six inches thick. The concrete bridge deck is resting off the ground on wood cribbing: a combination of railroad ties and salvaged logs.
