Description

Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Weathersfield, Vermont. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.

The Town of Weathersfield is seeking bids to repair culvert #23 on Bowen Hill Road by constructing a new reinforced concrete invert throughout its' length. The culvert shall be cleaned of all debris and any deformities in the culvert that will prevent the installation of the reinforcing steel as described herein shall be removed. #5 reinforcing bars shall be placed at 12" o.c. transversely and shall be welded at each end to the existing CMP culvert with 1" of weld along each side of the reinforcing bar for a total of 2" of weld per end of bar. #5 reinforcing bars shall be placed at 6" o.c. on top of the transvers bars and shall be tied together at each joint. Laps shall be 24" long and shall be tied together with three ties evenly spaced. Concrete shall be placed in voids under the culvert and along the invert to the approximate shape of the existing CMP culvert; it shall be 6" thick and shall be VT Class A concrete.
