The Greater Upper Valley Solid Waste Management District is seeking qualified and experienced firms interested in partnering to expand its solid waste operations. The primary focus is on enhancing existing composting and organic waste management capabilities at the Quarry Road facility in North Hartland, Vermont. Proposals that include other solid waste services are also welcomed, as long as they align with the Districts Charter and applicable local and regional planning. Site visit : Continue for another mile and Quarry Rd will be on your left (it is across from a motel, South on Five). -Here is the google street address for the turn: 2868 US-5 (The intersection is in Hartford) - The facility is located at the end of Quarry Rd (in N. Hartland). Stay to the right when nearing the end of the road, to the left is a Twin State Gravel pit. (lots of large trucks on the road). -There should be enough space for parking to the right side as you pull in. The transfer station will be ahead and the compost site will be a hard right. When you park, stay off the gravel roads since there may be trucks moving material at the site.
