Renovation of a military facility in Dahlonega, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
General Description 1. Base Bid: Furnish all labor, material, equipment, incidentals, supervision and transportation for work necessary to provide four (4) new Planning Bays and supporting infrastructure. All work shall be performed in accordance with the contract specifications, manufacturer's recommendations, and state building codes. a. Bid Option 1: Two (2) additional planning bays to be constructed simultaneously as the initial four (4) requested in this SOW. b. Bid Option 3: Twelve (12) new metal bleachers. c. Bid Option 4: Twelve (12) new sand tables. d. Bid Option 5: Domestic Water spigot centrally located near the existing water line that traverses the ridge. To be located near to central for the new planning bays. e. Bid Option 6: Demolish Four (4) of the existing planning bays* that are in the path of the future road. (Reference Demo M0354, M0352, M0348, and M0349.) f. Bid Option 7: Demolish existing planning bay M0355* if the decision is made to complete Bid Option 2; build all six (6) new planning bays instead of Four (4). Planning Bay M0353 to remain indefinitely. Verification and Inspection. The contractor will satisfy himself or herself as to the nature, scope, intent and location of the work under this section and all conditions, which must be met in order to execute the work. The Design, Work/Construction contract requirements are described herein this Statement of Work (SOW) and on the drawings, specifications (as provided, or per the guide specification), and FB 144R prepared by The Directorate of Public Works (DPW) which is conveyed as a 35% design. 2. In addition to the SOW, Drawings, Specifications, FB 144R, the contractor will use when asked to provide 100% designs the resources located on the Whole Building Design Guide website and the Fort Benning - Installation Design Guide 3. The SOW, drawings, and specifications may not identify all procedures (means and methods) or requirements necessary to accomplish the work. The contractor is expected to follow industry standards or manufactures instructions/recommendations. 4. The contractor will provide all required supervision, labor, materials, and equipment to complete the work. 5. The superintendent will be an individual with a minimum 5 years of experience with jobs of similar type and size. Provide resumes of job site supervisors and key personnel. The superintendent will be on the job site when work is being performed and will be available to the Government representatives. Contract Period 270 All questions should be submitted in written form either by hand delivered hard copies, facsimile (fax) or electronic mail (e-mail). The Contracting Officer (KO / COR) shall determine the final date for submission of questions. The government reserves the right to stop work at any time for safety, security reasons, and for national defense at no cost to the government.
