Renovation of a municipal facility in Sandy, Utah. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
This is a formal solicitation of bids, which will be reviewed to determine that the functional requirements of Sandy City are met. The Sandy City shall be the sole judge as to which bid constitutes the lowest, responsive, and responsible. An award will be made after the appropriate approvals are received. Question Deadline 08/25/2025 at 11:00 AM MT All inquiries relative to this Invitation for Bid (IFB) must be submitted online. Sandy City is seeking formal bids from qualified contractors to replace the existing boiler plant at Sandy City Hall, which is used for space heating. The new installation will consist of two natural gas Laars NeoTherm boilers with dedicated pumps, using primary/secondary pumping to allow injection to the building loop. The project will integrate the new boilers into the existing Alerton building automation system for boiler plant monitoring. The boilers will operate in a lead lag configuration. Ideal Completion Date: November 5, 2025. If the contractor cannot guarantee this completion date, the project will be scheduled to begin in April 2026 to avoid cold weather risks. All work must be performed during normal operating hours (6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.) unless otherwise approved in writing Rejection of Bids: The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept any bid in total or in part unless the offeror clearly states in its bid that acceptance must be on an "all or none" basis, to waive any minor irregularity or technical error in the form of bids or in compliance with the instructions to offeror, and to stop the selection process at any time it is considered to be in the best interests of the City. Any bid containing significant deviations from the specifications of the RFBs will be rejected as non-responsive. Offerors claiming minor irregularities or technical errors must assume the burden of identifying them and justifying them to the City in order for the bid to receive consideration
