The purpose of this Request for Bid is to solicit competitive bids from qualified contractors for Paving and Asphalt Services for Canyons School District (CSD). It is anticipated that this RFB may result in a contract awarded to a qualified contractor for services as defined further in the solicitation. This RFB is designed to provide interested contractors with sufficient basic information to submit bids meeting minimum requirements, but is not intended to limit a bid's content or exclude any relevant or essential data. All bid preparation costs and any associated activities related to this RFB are the sole responsibility of the contractor. Scope of Work - The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, transportation, and other items required to restore existing improvements, damaged, or removed as indicated or as required to accomplish Work of other sections of these specifications. All restoration work shall be in accordance with applicable regulations. Contract Period CSD intends to award a contract associated with this solicitation that will continue for one (1) year. Each bid must include an option whereby CSD, in its sole discretion, can extend the contract annually for up four (4) additional years on the same terms, prices, and conditions set forth in the bid. If the option is not exercised, then the contract shall automatically expire at the end of the contract term. Notice of exercise of the option must be given at least ninety (90) days prior to the end of the contract term. Eligibility Requirements - The proposing Supplier must be properly licensed to do business in the State of Utah. Minimum of 5-years in the commercial asphalt and paving industry. Construction equipment and labor force capable of performing required work. CSD insurance requirements must be met and adhered to and maintained during the term of the contract. Company must be in good standing with the State of Utah Labor Commission. Pre bid meeting notes: Failure to attend shall result in the disqualification of any vendor that does not have an authorized representative present for the entire duration of the pre-solicitation conference or site visit. Please arrive early or on time to the pre-bid meeting. The meeting will start promptly at the indicated time. Those that arrive late will not be permitted to sign the attendance sheet and participate with the contract opportunity.
