The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items necessary to perform inspection, maintenance, certification, and repair services for 247 fire extinguishers located across eight Washington Aqueduct facilities. Services must comply with the latest NFPA 10 standards, OSHA regulations, and applicable federal, state, and local codes. Annual inspections and certifications are required for all extinguishers, with additional 5-year, 6-year, and 12-year maintenance tasks performed as needed. Tasks include pressure checks, hydrostatic testing, recharging, tagging, and replacing parts. Condemned extinguishers must be recycled or disposed of appropriately. The contractor must provide detailed inspection reports within 10 business days and ensure all work is completed within 30 days of the start date. The contract includes one base year and four option years, with firm fixed pricing. Security protocols, including antiterrorism training, access control, and E-Verify compliance, are mandatory. All work must be performed during business hours on non-federal holidays.
