Site work, renovation and addition to an educational facility in Burnaby, British Columbia. BCIT is seeking responses from qualified Construction Managers (CMs) with demonstrated experience in design assist construction management and the delivery of classroom/laboratory facilities, post-secondary academic facilities, significant additions to existing buildings under continuous operation, and/or mass timber hybrid construction, to provide services in support of a new addition to the Electrical Trades Building SE01 on BCIT's Burnaby Campus (3700 Willingdon Avenue, Burnaby, BC V5G 3H2). BCIT aims to build a new 2-storey addition at the NE corner of building SE01, to provide the School of Construction and Environment (SoCE) Electrical Trades program with modern simulation laboratory spaces that showcase their robotics, automation and renewable energy programs. The addition will incorporate mass timber structural elements and strive to achieve LEED Gold sustainability targets.
