Minority-owned business 10% Women-owned business 6% Veteran-owned business 5% Small/mini/micro business 5% This request seeks design and construction administration work for developing the Campus Energy System Replacement, identified as the preferred alternative to replace the Capitol Campuss heating system. The existing steam heat system for the Capitol Campus, over 100 years old and serving most campus buildings, is neither reliable, safe, nor efficient. Transitioning to a new system aligns with Washington State's move towards a zero-carbon platform and directly contributes to meeting the Clean Buildings Performance Standards legislation. This Request for Qualifications is for the purpose of selecting a Consultant for Design and Engineering for the Campus Energy System Replacement located at Olympia, WA. The following general scope of work describes the anticipated extent of design services to be provided by the consultant team. This description is not necessarily all-inclusive, and the consultant team should consider any tasks or services deemed necessary to complete the project satisfactorily. Consultant teams are encouraged to bring any expertise gained from other projects, creative ideas tested elsewhere, and best practices applicable to this project. 1. Design Services: Prepare comprehensive design and engineering documents for the Campus Energy System Replacement. a. The documentation should include detailed construction plans, demolition plans, and methodologies to be employed during the process. b. Design of a centralized equipment location on West campus based on options outlined in the Decarbonization Report. c. Design of infrastructure and equipment location in preexisting spaces in East Campus as outlined in the Decarbonization Report. d. Plan should evaluate and recommend phasing approach to permitting, site preparation, demolition, and construction. e. Ensure that all work complies with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations including House Bill 1390. DES - Campus Energy System Replacement - Department of Enterprise Services.
