The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Acquisition Management Division (AMD), Team E-Boulder is conducting market research to identify prime contractors capable of performing inspection, testing, maintenance, and impairment coordinator services for fire protection systems. These services must be provided in accordance with manufacturer requirements and NIST-adopted codes and standards, including the International Building Code (IBC), International Fire Code (IFC), and applicable National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards. The purpose of this Sources Sought is to assess market interest and capability prior to determining the method of acquisition. Responses must include a detailed capabilities statement addressing service criteria and personnel qualifications, and may not exceed 20 pages. This is not a request for proposals, quotations, or bids, and no contract will be awarded based on responses to this notice.
