Bids are invited for work generally described as follows: Concrete pavement improvements along Dayton Street from Western Avenue and to South Avenue and asphalt pavement improvements along Bradford Street and Crabtree Street from Dayton Street to Holly Lane. A bid bond in the amount of 5percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid [for contracts greater than $100,000,]. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of West Orange or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value)may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. Upon award, the successful bidder will be required to furnish payment and performance bonds. The City of West Orange reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by The City ofWest Orange for a period not toexceed 60 days from the date ofthe bid opening for the purposeof reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. QA date - 8-27-2025 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
