** As of 09/29/2025 project has been awarded to Macsun Construction LLC but no amount available.** Garfield Senior Center Door Replacement Project 480 Midland Avenue, Garfield, NJ 07026 and all work incidental thereto as indicated in and in accordance with the project documents A Bidder's failure to attend the Pre-bid meeting is at its own risk. Bids must be submitted in duplicate and enclosed in sealed envelopes, bearing the name and address of the bidder, the name of the project, the time and date designated for the receipt of bids, addressed to Ms. Erin Delaney, MPA, RMC, City Manager/City Clerk ,111 Outwater Lane, City of Garfield, New Jersey 07026, and must be accompanied by a Statement of Ownership, Non-Collusion Affidavit and a Cashier's check, Certified Check or Bid Bond for not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid amount, provided said check need not be more than $20,000 and submitted with bid at the place on the hour named above. Bids must be accompanied by consent of Surety. The successful bidder will be required to furnish an acceptable Performance and Labor and Material Bond for the full amount of the project. Bids shall be made on the Proposal Form and the NonCollusion Affidavit included in the project specifications, copies of which will be furnished on application to the City Manager/City Clerk of the City of Garfield. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 regarding equal employment opportunity, as amended. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, C.127, Affirmative Action and P.L. 1977, C. 33, Statement of Ownership. The owner reserves the right to waive any informality in any bid or bids, and to reject any or all bids and to accept such bid or bids and to make such award(s) as may be in the best interest of the Owner. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. ***Document Note: Bidders must email their request at least twenty-four (24) hours or one (1) business day in advance to obtain the bid documents. Bidding documents will be sent to qualified bidders via electronic mail at no charge. Hard copies of the Bidding Documents may also be picked up in person by requesting an appointment with Dan Dressel at Ddarchitects@aol.com and by purchase only. Payment for the hard copies of the Bidding Documents shall be made by a non-refundable money order or certified check in the amount of $100.00 made payable to "Dan Dressel, Architect". Cash, Personal Checks or Company Checks will not be accepted. Bidding documents will not be mailed. Bidders seeking to schedule an appointment to pick up a hard copy of the Bidding Documents must request and allow at least forty-eight (48) hours or two (2) business days in advance to obtain the bid documents. The project has a goal of ten to twenty percent (10-20%) MBE/DBE/WBE participation. Provide a brief summary of how this goal will be achieved. Failure to submit this form may result in a bid being rejected for non-responsiveness Questions, requests for clarification or similar communications to the Architect shall only be made via written correspondence or e-mail.
