SIDEWALK FREIGHT LIFT & FENCE REPLACEMENT AT 225 MIDLAND AVE. GOLDEN TOWER 1. Installation of new freight lift including the demolition, removal and disposal of existing Freight Lift. 2. Installation of new fence including the demolition, removal and disposal of existing fence. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a guarantee payable to the Housing Authority of the City of Garfield that, if a contract is awarded, the BIDDER shall enter into contract therefore, and shall furnish a Performance Bond (100%). The proposal guarantee shall be in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, and shall be given, at the option of the BIDDER, by certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond. The surety company for the bid bond (if applicable) and the surety company for the performance and payment bonds must be licensed in the State of New Jersey and must be approved by the Federal Treasury. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in any bid or bids, to reject any and all bids, and to accept such bid or bids and to make such award(s) as may be in the best interest of the Owner. Each bidder must deposit with his/her bid, security in the amount, form, and subject to the conditions provided in the Information to Bidders. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirement as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under contract. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within 60 (sixty) days after the actual date of opening thereof. PROPOSED REPLACEMENT OF A FREIGHT LIFT AT EXISTING MULTIFAMILY BUILDING All Contractors having contracts with the Authority for supplying labor and/or materials / supplies will be required to have Minority Business Enterprises providing 20 (20%) of the dollar value of the contract.
