Renovation of a military facility in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
Demolition and replacement of existing steam heat exchangers in mechanical rooms 1204 and 1410 on the first level of Building 1 including piping, pumps, and controls. The project also includes the installation of electric swing season boilers in each of the rooms including upgrades and modification to the electrical systems. The existing base wide steam system will remain along with the associated piping and radiators. The work includes installation of fire rated shafts at each mechanical room to accommodate and ceiling and LED light fixtures with updated controls. Existing fire alarm signals, speakers, and other appurtenances that are on the existing ceiling are to be temporarily supported or removed, salvaged, and reinstalled to the ceiling. The work includes demolition work at mechanical room 1400 with removal of the abandoned AHU and associated duct work. The work continues in the 700 wing of the building with demolition of existing VAVs and installation of new at three levels. Questions are due by 5:00 PM on September 6. Magnitude of Construction: Pursuant to FAR 36.204(f), the following is provided: The magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
