Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Clear Lake, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The lodge renovation is one of 4 buildings being renovated in 2025-2026 at Clear Lake State Park. The lodge improvements include new resinous flooring in restroom, new restroom fixtures and partitions, restroom remodel to meet ADA compliance requirements, cob blasting and re-finishing existing woodwork, new thermally efficient windows, repaired trim work, replacement or repair of large timber structural members, re-purposing lighting fixtures to function as LED type lighting fixtures, new concrete pad for ADA compliant parking, removal of existing concrete slabs and replacement with new slabs, fireplace brick and chimney stone repairs, new roof gutter system, kitchen renovation with new millwork and appliances, and installation of mini-split HVAC system. Proposal Guarantee: $25,000.00 Completion Date: 05/15/2026 Each bidder shall accompany the bid with a bid security as defined in Iowa code section 26.8. Copies of the bid security will be accepted for those bidders submitting bids electronically. Additionally, if the apparent lowest responsible, responsive bidder submits an electronic bid security, the original security must be mailed to the Department, at 6200 Park Avenue, Suite 200, Des Moines, IA, 50321, within five business days of the bid letting date. The bid security must be in an amount set forth in the bidding documents and made payable to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources. Failure to execute a contract for the proposed work and file an acceptable Performance Bond, in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price and a certificate of liability insurance, within thirty days of the date of the award of the contract, will be just and sufficient cause for the rescinding of the award and the forfeiture of the bid security.
