The Project includes the following work: Remodel of the 4,875 Square Foot Old Gym in the following areas: Reside and. Re Roof, Foundation Retrofit and Connection to Structure, Access ramp/Porch replacement, HVAC and Building Envelope upgrades. Additional important information regarding bidding requirements is specified in the Instructions to Bidders. Addenda may be issued for the purpose of clarification and/or revision of the Project Manual and or Drawings. Addenda will be sent to known bidders and will become part of the Contract Documents. Any costs resulting from Addenda should be included, in the Bid Sum. Bidders shall be bound by their bids for for (45) calendar days following the bid opening. A bid security, in the form of a certified check, bank cashier s check or bid bond is required with each Bid in an amount equal to five percent of the Base Bid plus Additive Alternates, if any. Should a bidder fail to enter into an Agreement with the Owner and/or fail to furnish the bonds required by the Contract Documents within ten (10) days after his/her Bid has been accepted, the Contractor's Bid Security shall be forfeited to the Owner as liquidated damages, not as a penalty. Contractor shall secure, include costs therefore in the Bid, and pay for bonds issued by a bonding company with a Best's rating of "A", or better, and licensed to transact business in the State of Washington in Statutory Form. Liability under each of the bonds shall be 100 percent of the contract sum, including state sales tax, for: Performance, Labor and Mat erial Payment, One-year maintenance for correction of defective work.
