Remodeling of an educational facility in Aberdeen, Washington. Completed plans call for the remodel of a educational facility.

The Project includes the following work: Remodel of the 4,875 Square Foot Old Gym in the following areas: Reside and. Re Roof, Foundation Retrofit and Connection to Structure, Access ramp/Porch replacement, HVAC and Building Envelope upgrades. Additional important information regarding bidding requirements is specified in the Instructions to Bidders. Addenda may be issued for the purpose of clarification and/or revision of the Project Manual and or Drawings. Addenda will be sent to known bidders and will become part of the Contract Documents. Any costs resulting from Addenda should be included, in the Bid Sum. Bidders shall be bound by their bids for for (45) calendar days following the bid opening. A bid security, in the form of a certified check, bank cashier s check or bid bond is required with each Bid in an amount equal to five percent of the Base Bid plus Additive Alternates, if any. Should a bidder fail to enter into an Agreement with the Owner and/or fail to furnish the bonds required by the Contract Documents within ten (10) days after his/her Bid has been accepted, the Contractor's Bid Security shall be forfeited to the Owner as liquidated damages, not as a penalty. Contractor shall secure, include costs therefore in the Bid, and pay for bonds issued by a bonding company with a Best's rating of "A", or better, and licensed to transact business in the State of Washington in Statutory Form. Liability under each of the bonds shall be 100 percent of the contract sum, including state sales tax, for: Performance, Labor and Mat erial Payment, One-year maintenance for correction of defective work. Bidders will be required to submit the following documents: Non Collusion Affidavit, Certification Regarding Responsibility Matters Certification of Compliance with Wage Payment Statutes. PREVAILING WAGE RATES: WA. State Prevailing Wage Rates: Shall apply. APPRENTICE U TELEZATION: For Public Works contracts over $1,000,000.00, mandatory apprentice utilization of at least 15 percent of the total labor hours worked on the Contract, is required. Apprentices must be registered, as apprentices with the State Apprenticeship and Training Council. Bidders may contact the Department of Labor & Industries' Apprenticeship Section at (360) 902-5320 to obtain information on apprenticeship programs. For Public Works contracts over $1,000,000, bidders must submit the names of subcontractors whom the bidder, if awarded the contract, will subcontract for performance of the work as follows: 1. Within (1) hour after the published bid submittal time, the subcontracts for HVAC (heating ventilation, and air conditioning) and plumbing per 18.106 RCW and electrical per 19.28 RCW or to name itself for the work. 2. Within (48) hours after the the published bid submittal time, the subcontracts for structure steel installation and rebar installation Event Bid Description: Bids must be delivered to the location listed above in a sealed envelope. The outside of the envelope must be marked with the project name - Gym Remodel, the name of the contractor, and the date, written legibly. Submit questions Clarifications will be included in Addenda. Verbal answers and clarifications are not binding on any party. Wishkah Valley District No. 117 reserves the right to reject or accept any or all bids and to waive informalities. Wishkah Valley District No. 11.7 reserves the right to reject or accept any or all bids not accompanied by bid security or data required by the bidding documents or a bid in any way incomplete or irregular. Bids received after the above time and date will be returned, unopened, to the bidder.
