Belknap County seeks bids from qualified vendors capable of providing Natural Gas Supply. Belknap County (the "County") is seeking sealed proposals from qualified energy suppliers to provide natural gas supply services for various County-owned facilities currently served by Liberty Utilities (distribution) & Sprague Energy (supply). The County is seeking proposals for both three-year and five-year contract terms. Suppliers shall submit pricing for both terms. The selected supplier will provide third-party natural gas supply to the County facilities listed below: Facilities Included: Belknap County Jail - 76 County Drive, Laconia, NH Belknap County Nursing Home - 30 County Drive, Laconia, NH Belknap County Courthouse - 64 Court Street, Laconia, NH Other properties as added or removed during the contract term Supplier Responsibilities: Provide natural gas supply with uninterrupted service in coordination with the current utility. Offer fixed pricing for the duration of the selected term (3 or 5 years). Monitor market conditions and advise the County on opportunities to optimize energy costs. Provide monthly usage and billing reports as requested. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. The contract commencement date is January 1, 2026. In 2023 the county used 13,331 Dth and in 2024 the county used 13,316 Dth. The County reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all proposals. The County reserves the right to cancel this request at any time for any reason. Contract Term and Conditions The County will enter into a contract for either a three (3) or five (5) year term, commencing on January 1, 2026. The County reserves the right to terminate the agreement early for cause or for convenience with thirty (30) days' written notice. The selected supplier will be required to enter into a formal agreement with the County.
