Checks shall be made payable to Grotto Engineering Associates, LLC. Bidding documents must be obtained directly from the office of the Engineer. Bids shall be made in triplicate. One original and two copies. Each bid must be furnished on the proposal sheets included in the Contract Documents Proposals must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the Bidder, and the name of the Work on the outside; addressed to Mayor and Council, Township of Clark; and must be accompanied by a statement of Consent of Surety from a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and acceptable to the Township; and either a Bid Bond or a Certified Check drawn to the order of Township of Clark for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, except that the check need not exceed $20,000.00. The Township reserves the right to require a complete financial and experience statement from prospective Bidders showing that they have satisfactorily completed work of the nature required before awarding the Contract. A Valid Business Registration issued by the State of New Jersey is to be provided prior to the Award of Contract. The Business Registration Certificate must be obtained by the Bidder prior to the receipt of Bids; however, a Business Registration Certificate is not required in the submission of the Proposal Forms for this Contract. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informality where such informality is not detrimental to the best interest of the Township.
