Renovation of a mixed-use development in Clark, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and educational facility.

The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, building-wide fire alarm replacements at Carl H. Kumpf Middle School and Valley Road Elementary School. The contract documents define the full project scope. Bids will be received for a lump sum price for the entire project, all trades, all inclusive. Carl H. Kumpf Middle School 59 Mildred Terrace Clark, NJ 07066 State Plan #: 39-0850-035-25-1000 Valley Road Elementary School 150 Valley Road Clark, NJ 07066 State Plan #: 39-0850-040-25-2000 Instructions to bidders include: - Bidders must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) in the category (C049) FIRE ALARM/SIGNAL SYSTEMS. Subcontractors for major branches of work must also be prequalified by the DPMC. - Bidders must submit with the bid a Certificate of Prequalification/Classification from the DPMC and an Affidavit as to the Total Amount of Uncompleted Contracts for the Bidder and all listed subcontractors for whom DPMC prequalification is required. - No modifications to Instructions to Bidders, General Conditions, Supplemental Conditions, or Specifications will be permitted prior to bid acceptance except as allowed by addenda. Bids proposing modifications to the requirements will be rejected as non-responsive. - Bidders must comply with N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq. An Initial Project Workforce Report (Form AA-201) will be required from the successful Contractor. - A statement setting forth the names and addresses of all persons and entities that own ten percent or more of its stock or interest of any type at all levels of ownership must be submitted. - Bidders and all listed subcontractors must comply with the Public Works Contractor Registration Act and possess current certification from the Division of Wage and Hour Compliance in the Department of Labor and Workforce Development at the time the bid is submitted. - A Business Registration Certificate from the Division of Revenue in the New Jersey Department of Treasury is required prior to contract award. - An affidavit that the Bidder is not on the New Jersey State Treasurer's List or Federal Government List of Debarred, Suspended, or Disqualified Firms or individuals must be included. The successful bidder will later be required to submit separate certification regarding controlling entities. - Bids must be accompanied by bid security (bid bond or certified/cashier's check) equal to 10% of the bid, not exceeding $20,000, and a Certificate of Consent of Surety. - The Board of Education may reject non-responsive or all bids and may waive minor informalities or non-material exceptions. - No bid may be withdrawn for sixty days after the opening date. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder.
