A. Scope of alterations work in the new laundry, shower and counseling office areas of Unit 8 1. Demolition of the existing slab, casework, finishes, portions of existing concrete masonry walls, electrical fixtures, and plumbing fixtures. 2. Modification of existing diffusers, returns, and laundry exhaust. 3. Installation of new concrete slabs and curbs at new shower locations. 4. Installation of new laundry hook-ups and new shower and floor drains. 5. Installation of new stainless steel wall and ceiling panels, suspended acoustical panels, epoxy flooring, paint, vinyl tile and wall base. 6. Installation of new LED ceiling fixtures. B. Owner will remove the following items before start of work: 1. Wall mounted tablet storage box. C. Contractor is required to remove the items indicated below and store in location designated by the Owner. Items are to be cleaned and reinstalled by the contractor. 1. Lint Collector / Dryer Exhaust Device Baylor Women's Correctional Institution Unit 8 Shower and Laundry Renovation The project involves selective demolition and renovation of the shower room, laundry room, adjacent areas and associated work within Unit 8 at Baylor Women's Correctional Institute. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security equivalent to ten percent of the bid amount and all additive alternates. The successful bidder must post a performance bond and payment bond in a sum equal to 100 percent of the contract price upon execution of the contract.
