Project is a tax exempt capital improvement, and Bidders shall not include in their Bid sales and compensating use taxes on the cost of materials which are to be incorporated into the work and which are to be separately sold by the Contractor to the County of Onondaga prior to incorporation into the work of the Contract. 3. Project is subject to New York State prevailing wage. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. Removal of all docks and gangways n Docks specified for reuse are to be organized on site for survey of current condition. This work is scheduled to begin on November 1st, 2025 after the end of the boating season. This effort is to be completed by November 30th, 2025 to make way for the General Contractor to begin work in the marina basin. 2. The decommissioned docks will become property of the selected bidder and are to be removed in the month of November to maximize job site space. 3. Removal of all existing piles (approximately 109) Piles can be pulled or cut at base when marina is dewatered. 4. Dock Rehabilitation/Restorationa. A Wall main section 8.0i wide by 520.0i long b. B Wall Outer main section 6.0i wide by 210.0i long c. B Wall inner all docks and fingers d. Boat Launch dock e. This work will be a time and materials effort and include: Cleaning of all floats and composite deck surfaces, replacing any compromised floats, decking, edge guards/ rub rails or hardware (floats/decking/hardware from decommissioned docks to be used). This work can occur any time before delivery of the new docks n April 1st, 2026. 5. Off-loading New Docks on or before April 1st. Docks to be delivered to Marina parking lot. 6. Transition Dock Integration (3 Places) the dock manufacturer is supplying three sections of new dock that need to be integrated to the existing A- Wall main dock. 7. Support piles n All Piles will be GPS located by dock manufacturer, bidder is responsible for driving piles to stable depth. Base pile is estimated to be 30.0i long. There will be a determined allowance for increments of 5.0i over 30.0i and a credit for increments of 5.0i under 30.i See section on Unit Pricing. 8. Installation of Docks n Docks to be installed per manufacturer specifications. Water will be back in marina by April 1st, 2026. installation completion date is Monday April 27th, 2026. 9. Salt Museum Pier is the only dock with an anchor system, bidder is responsible for providing (4) concrete Deadman anchors. This dock will be anchored to Deadman by cables/chains provided by dock manufacturer. 10. Gangways - All gangways mate to a concrete abutment with embedded hardware. Bidder is responsible for attaching gangways and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. 4.
