“The owner has selected a Construction Manager. A timeline for construction has not yet been established.” Selected CM-R firm is required to furnish comprehensive pre-construction and construction services for the development of a new fire station. The CM-R, either through internal resources or external consultants/contractors, shall execute all necessary pre-construction and construction management services and activities for this project. The St. Johns Fire District ("District") is soliciting qualifications from general contractors licensed in the State of South Carolina to provide professional construction management at risk services (CM-R) for a 11,000 square foot +/- new fire station on Betsy Kerrison Parkway in Johns Island. The intent of this project is to construct a new fire station and site development with the intent of future expansion on a 3.47-acre site. The new fire station will accommodate ten (10) sleeping beds, separate showers, four (4) fire marshal offices, restrooms, and three (3) apparatus bays. The new building must accommodate a training classroom with capacity for at least twenty-five (25) individuals. The District intends to develop the site to accommodate the future addition of another emergency service building. This would include all utilities, parking, and access.
