Rutherford County Schools is soliciting proposals from qualified design-build teams interested in providing professional design and construction services for the new construction of three high school athletics training facilities. The project services being sought, the submittal requirements, and the timeline are more precisely described in the Scope of Work below. Rutherford County Schools was awarded a state grant in the amount of $1,200,000.00 with approximately $1,100,000.00 devoted to the construction and furnishings of three new athletic training buildings. One for CHASE High School, East Rutherford High School, and R-S Central High School. The scope of work is to design an athletic training facility at each of the three traditional high schools in Rutherford County Schools with total given budget of $1,100,000.00 to be subdivided between the three schools. Each athletic training facility will be constructed for the purpose of serving student athletes at that school. Facilities will be new construction at each site. Building size is expected to include athletic training areas such as taping area, ice treatment area, rehab area, storage area, office space, toilet, washer/dryer, and area for storage of golf utility cart. Services are to include complete engineering consultants as required for the scope of this project. The Design-Builder, as the sole responsible source for total project compliance and construction related performance (including architectural programming, design, and construction services), will hold all design professionals, testing services, trade contractors and trade supplier contracts.
