The Oscoda Area School Board is requesting interested General Contractors to submit qualifications for construction services for renovation work pertaining to building an auditorium A/V desk and replacing stage lighting structure within Oscoda Area Schools High School . Construction services will begin after selection of the general contractor and immediately upon negotiation of owner-contractor contract agreement. All services shall be performed according to the contractor's contract with the Oscoda Area School Board. The Board of Education reserves the right to waive minor variations in the evaluation and selection process. The bid shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the owner or any employee of the bidder and any member of the board, intermediate school board, or board of directors or the superintendent of the school district, intermediate superintendent of the intermediate school district, or chief executive officer of the publicschool academy. A board, intermediate school board, or board of directors shall not accept a bid that does not include this sworn and notarized disclosure statement. A Bid Guaranty in the form of either a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond for the full amount of the bid (including all add alternates) or a certified check, cashier's check, or an irrevocable letter of credit in an amount equal to 10% of the bid (including all add alternates), as described in the Instructions to Bidders, must be submitted with each bid. No bidder may withdraw its bid within 60 days after the bid opening. The school district reserves the right to waive irregularities in bids, to reject any or all bids, and to conduct such investigation as necessary to determine bidder responsibility.
