Site work for a mixed-use development in Westfield, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The project includes, but is not limited to construction of a block retaining wall and embankment improvements between the recently completed Columbia Greenway Rail Trail project and the parking lot to the Westfield Bank on the northerly side of Chapel Street. The improvements include the installation of a new granite curbing with a varying 6" to 12" reveal, a new block retaining wall, full depth pavement section in front of the new raining wall, removal and replacement of topsoil with loam borrow and re-grading of the embankment to provide flatter slope from 3:1 to 2:1 (Max). A bid deposit shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Workforce Development under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27D, as amended, apply to this project. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
