Machine screening and refinishing of hardwood flooring to completely prepare the surface to a smooth and even texture. The entire surface must be thoroughly cleaned of all dust, stains and/or other material prior to the application of any finish. At Westfield High School only, the finish will be sanded to the wood surface and be restripped and refinished. 2. Two new coats of finish product are required. The finish must be high quality, commercial grade, high gloss, water based polyurethane finish specified for this type of application. Product brand name(s) and specifications including warranty information and MADS sheets must be included with the submittal meeting this specification. 3. All work must meet high quality industry standards. Proper precautions must be taken to protect all adjacent areas, walls and ceiling surfaces within this area against dust, dirt, and machine damage. 4. The Contractor will be responsible for the removal of all trash and waste material on a daily basis. 5. The work for fiscal year 2026 must be completed by as soon as possible and no later than NOVEMBER 30, 2025. 5. Massachusetts prevailing wage rates must be paid. Failure to include necessary work or equipment in your quote will be the responsibility of the vendor and not the Westfield Public Schools.
