Add Main Gate Motor Barnes Air National Guard Base, Westfield (MA Air National Guard). Work will include the addition of required equipment and infrastructure to install a gate opener/closure motor with operational buttons located in the guard building, and all other safety features. Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. 2.1 Install slide gate opener/closure on the inbound and outbound gate, for a total of 2. Gate motor to be a Linear slide gate operator VS-GSLG-1 or equal. 2.1.1 Slide gate motor to be single phase, with the ability to open a gate length of 78' or greater, and weight of 2500 lbs. or greater. 2.1.2 Motor will need to be post mounted. 2.1.3 Equipment needs to be installed to meet the weather, or within a weather resistant cabinet. 2.1.4 Include installation of a sensing edge for each gate and associated transmitter/receiver system for the sensing edge, compatible with gate motor and associated infrastructure. 2.1.5 Include open close button switch for each gate, located in the guard shack. 2.1.6 Include surge protective devices to protect motors and equipment. 2.1.7 Connect motors to the existing power panel in the guard building. 2.1.8 Ensure to install a disconnect located near the gate motor in compliance with electrical code. 2.2 Any recycling or trash is the responsibility of the contractor to remove and properly dispose of and provide associated load tickets. 2.3 Electrical: 2.3.1 Underground conduit with pull string is located as shown on the drawing, provide any additional conduit as necessary to where intended location for the gate motors 2.3.2 Existing panel information is provided in the drawing, if required a subpanel can be attached to the existing electrical panel. 2.4 Contractor to schedule work to limit interruption of traffic on and off base. 2.5 Provide warranty for the equipment and a 1 year warranty for work completed
