As of October 21, 2025, project is awarded to J.E. Shurden Construction, LLC., in the amount of $379,206.06. Estimated cost is $400,000 to $500,000. Work will be that associated with the 2025 Terminal Parking Lot Expansion project which will consist of the construction of a new section of asphalt paved parking lot to the east of the existing parking lot. Also included is the installation of new overhead lighting. Each Bidder must deposit with his proposal, a Bid Bond or Certified Check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of his bid, payable to the Golden Triangle Regional Airport, as bid security. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment Bond and Performance Bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Any questions that bidders might have should be directed to the airport's engineering consultant, Neel- Schaffer, Inc., Birmingham, Alabama, to the attention of Joshua Stump, project manager. The engineering consultant will receive questions related to this project until 11:00 a.m. (Central Daylight Time) on September 29, 2025 The Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any and all informalities in the best interest of the Airport Authority. SCOPE OF WORK. a. The Owner's intent in performing this work is as follows: Work will be that associated with the 2025 Terminal Parking Lot Expansion project which will consist of the construction of a new section of asphalt paved parking lot to the east of the existing parking lot. Also included is the installation of new overhead lighting. All work will be accomplished in accordance with current MDOT roadway design manual requirements. All work in the aforementioned areas will be as shown on the plans and as called for in the technical specifications. b. Work will take place during the day. c. The contractor shall work closely with airport officials throughout the duration of the project in order to streamline operations and minimize problems that might occur. The Contractor will be required to coordinate its construction operations with the Airport's Executive Director (or his designated representative) well in advance of actually performing the work, to allow the Owner to coordinate proposed construction activities with the tenants of the airport and others who might be using the airport facilities. d. The security of the airfield during the project will not be impacted. A supervisory person must always remain on site when other workers are present, and/or construction is taking place. Failure to maintain a supervisory person during these times may result in suspension of the project work (possibly for several days if the Executive Director is not available), at the sole discretion of the Owner
