The Project generally consists of: GRAPE STREET (CIP 104299A) This project is located on Grape Street between Harbor Drive and State Street. The project consists of asphalt concrete pavement rehabilitation (mill & overlay, dig outs, etc.), slurry seal, vehicle loop detection installation, signage, pavement markings, vertical delineators, parking meter removal (by City), minor drainage improvements and curb and gutter replacement. This project has less than 1.0 acres of disturbed area and contains a Water Pollution Control Plan (WPCP). This work requires General Order 88-B (GO-88B) compliance as defined by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC). Contractor is also required to obtain the following permits: file the contractor portion of the application for work within City of San Diego right-of-way (City form DS-3037); traffic control permit with the City of San Diego; a noise abatement permit for night work with the City of San Diego; and a joint right of entry (JROE) permit with Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) and North County Transit District (NCTD). Contractor and all personnel involved in work within MTS right-of-way ("MTS R/W" or "SDMTS R/W") must successfully obtain both MTS and NCTD Roadway Worker Protection Training. Contractor laydown areas are not shown on the plans; any proposed laydown areas must have security fencing and be approved by the City of San Diego. Contractor must coordinate the parking meter removal with the City of San Diego's Department of Sustainability & Mobility. License Requirements A Each Bid shall be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or Bid Bond secured from a surety company satisfactory to the Airport Authority, the amount of which shall not be less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted Total Bid Price, made payable to Airport Authority as bid security. The bid bond shall be in the form set forth in the Contract Documents and shall be secured from a surety company that meets all State of California bonding requirements, as defined in California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120, and that is a California admitted surety insurer. The bid security shall be provided as a guarantee that within fourteen (14) Days after the Airport Authority provides the successful Bidder the Notice of Award, the successful Bidder will enter into a contract and provide the necessary bonds and certificates of insurance.
