The United States Department of Energy's Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL) requires the services of a Hazardous Waste Subcontractor for the management, transportation, and disposal of hazardous waste at RCRA-permitted treatment, storage, and disposal facilities (TSDFs). Waste materials will be transported and disposed of at PPPL pre-approved TSDFs on an as-needed basis, with quantities and transportation units varying according to PPPL's needs. The subcontractor may also be required to perform emergency and routine spill cleanup, vacuum truck clean-out services, waste sampling, and other related duties. Future responsibilities may include comprehensive on-site waste management activities such as collection, intra-site transportation, characterization, storage, packaging, and arranging for transportation and disposal of hazardous waste. On-site work activities will vary depending on PPPL's operational requirements.
