Site work for a transportation facility in Sitka, Alaska. Working plans call for site work for a transportation facility.
The work consists of a two-phase site investigation and removal action at the location of a former Remote Communications Air to Ground (RCAG) building adjacent to the current FAA Air Traffic Control Beacon Interrogator (ATCBI) on Biorka Island near Sitka, Alaska. Phase 1 includes collection of Incremental Sampling Methodology (ISM) samples across the proposed new ATCBI site, sampling, demolition, and removal of the former RCAG building foundation, and removal of lead-impacted soil around the foundation. Phase 2 includes optional tasks such as replacement of approximately 90-foot long 2-inch PVC power and communication utility conduit with 4-inch Rigid Galvanized Steel (RGS) conduit, clearing of all trees from the proposed new ATCBI site, and removal of all overburden to bedrock across the proposed site. Contractors must be SBA SEDB 8(a) certified and capable of completing both the initial and optional tasks, with proposals for each submitted separately. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time. Estimated range $750,000 to $1.5 million *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
