Notice ID- W911WN25QA037 The existing electrical service begins at an electric meter mounted on a wood panel next to a meter pole, then travels underground to a disconnect switch located on the exterior of the dam. From there, it continues through rigid metal conduit along the dam's exterior and terminates at the automatic transfer switch (ATS) inside the dam. Due to failure of the underground power service conductors, a temporary aerial service has been installed. Additionally, the remaining cables from the disconnect switch to the ATS have very low insulation resistance values. All existing power conductors from the meter to the ATS shall be removed and disposed of, and new power cable installed in the existing conduits. The underground conduit will be replaced entirely, and the disconnect box at the end of the dam will be replaced with a new pull box. Upon completion, the contractor must remove the temporary power feed, coordinate all required inspections, and arrange for Penelec to reconnect commercial power. The scope also includes bituminous pavement removal, trenching and installation of underground conduit, trench backfilling, and other incidental work.
