Demolition and site work for a municipal facility in Warren, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
As of November 12, 2025, project has not yet awarded. "Documents must be purchased directly from GPI or contractors' bids will be rejected" Pennsylvania Avenue Building Demolition Project involves the following scope of work: Demolitionof existing buildings and disposal of debris at a location permitted by the PA DEP. Existing adjoining buildingsare to be protected and not damaged. Includes disconnection of existing utility services and coordination withaffected utility companies. The following items are to be salvaged and delivered to the City: All stone cornicesand decorative entablatures, stone eagles, and inlaid stone crests. The foundation cavity will be backfilledwith select backfill to match adjacent grades. Includes restoration of adjacent concrete surfaces. Contractorto take extreme care while backfilling and compacting adjacent to existing buildings. Contractor will beresponsible for any damage that occurs to adjacent property caused by demolition, backfilling, andcompaction. Contractor must handle asbestos in accordance with all Local, State and Federal rules,regulations, and laws. It is strongly encouraged that all Contractors visit the site. Bidders or vendors requesting next day or special mailing will be responsible for allmailing or shipping charges. Bidders must be on record at the issuing office as an official plan holder. Addenda,if any, will be issued to only those persons or companies who have purchased a full set of Contract Documents. Each Bid Proposal must be accompanied by Proposal Security in the form of a certified check, bank cashier's ortreasurer's check, or Bid Bond in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the Total Bid Price with the City ofWarren Redevelopment Authority named as Payee or Obligee. No Bid or Proposal Security may be withdrawn fora period of ninety (90) days from date of Bid opening. Should any bidder to whom Notice of Intent of Award hasbeen issued fail to satisfy Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) requirements hereof or otherwise be unableto, or, refuse to properly execute a Contract within ten (10) days of such notice, then the Proposal Securityshall be forfeited and become the property of City of Warren Redevelopment Authority.Bidders are advised that this Project may be subject to the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and IndustryPrevailing Wage Rate Determinations, if the total cost exceeds the applicable threshold. The Wage RateDeterminations provided by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry are included in the ContractDocuments.The City of Warren Redevelopment Authority reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to accept or rejectany item or combination of items contained in any Bid, to waive any irregularities in conjunction with any Bid,and to accept that Bid, or part thereof, which is deemed most advantageous to the City at the time and underthe conditions stipulated. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
